LEWISBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to escape the Patriot League basement will meet Sunday when Bucknell hosts Holy Cross in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game. The matchup at Sojka Pavilion pits the Bison (8-20) against the Crusaders (9-19) in a late-season contest with both squads looking to build momentum for the upcoming conference tournament. Holy Cross currently holds a one-game edge in the standings. The Crusaders won the season’s first meeting, 65-58, in Worcester on Dec. 31, 2025. Holy Cross enters having lost six of its last seven games, including a narrow 86-83 defeat to Lafayette on Wednesday. Bucknell has dropped four of its last five, coming off a 75-57 home loss to American the same night. A key matchup will feature two of the league’s top scorers. Holy Cross will rely on guard Aiden Disu, who is averaging 20.0 points over his last five games. He scored 20 points in 28 minutes against Lafayette. For Bucknell, guard Amon Dörries has been a consistent offensive force, scoring 21 or more points in four of his last six outings, including a 36-point performance in a double-overtime win over Boston University on Jan. 31. Both teams have struggled defensively, setting the stage for a potentially high-scoring affair. Holy Cross has allowed 79.1 points per game in its last seven contests, while Bucknell has conceded an average of 76.3 points during its current 1-4 stretch. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. tip-off on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026. Following this contest, Holy Cross will visit Boston University on Wednesday, while Bucknell travels to face Army.
