Oregon, Indiana Set for Big Ten Women’s Basketball Showdown BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Interstat) — The Oregon Ducks visit the Indiana Hoosiers in a Big Ten women’s basketball matchup Sunday at Assembly Hall. Oregon (19-9) enters on a high note after an 80-76 home victory over Nebraska on Thursday. The Ducks have won five of their last seven games but have struggled on the road in conference play, including a 51-43 loss at Washington on Feb. 15. Indiana (14-12) looks to rebound from a difficult West Coast trip where it fell 92-48 at UCLA on Sunday and 79-73 at Southern California on Feb. 12. The Hoosiers are 9-4 at home this season. The game features two of the conference’s top scorers. Oregon will lean on guard Ehis Etute, who is averaging 18.1 points over her last seven games. She scored 21 points with four assists in the win over Nebraska and had a 26-point, 11-rebound performance in a win at Maryland on Jan. 31. Indiana’s offense runs through guard Maya Makalusky, who has shown high-volume scoring ability. She poured in 29 points in 40 minutes at USC and averages 15.4 points in February. Her production will be key against an Oregon defense that has held opponents under 65 points in four of its last five wins. The Ducks won the earlier meeting this season, 89-59, in Eugene on Jan. 24. Etute had nine points and 11 rebounds in that contest, while Makalusky was held to three points for Indiana. Following this game, Oregon continues its road trip at Purdue on Wednesday. Indiana travels to face Rutgers on Wednesday.
